Barbara Steinberg – Founder, Managing Member - Barbara Steinberg is a well known financial planner and educator in Riverdale, New Jersey. Since 1992, she has been helping clients achieve their financial goals. Barbara has developed a specialty in working with retirees and those about to retire who want to protect their principal and insure that their money lasts.

Barbara is a Certified Financial Planner^TM, a Certified Estate Advisor^TM, Certified in Long Term Care, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor^SM, a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor^SM and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist^SM. To become a Certified Financial Planner^TM, Barbara took courses for two years and passed six exams covering investments, insurance, taxes, retirement planning and estate planning, and then passed a final two-day exam.

As a Certified Financial Planner^TM and Registered Investment Advisor representative, Barbara is held to higher fiduciary standards than other financial advisors (see Business Week article). She is bound by the highest ethical standards in the financial industry. To maintain her CFP® license, she is required to take 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including a specified course in ethics. Barbara is an Approved Member of the National Ethics Bureau. She holds insurance licenses in New Jersey and New York.

Barbara graduated from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, in 1973 with a BS in Medical Computer Science. She received an MS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in 1977. She also holds an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her articles on investing have been published in the New Brunswick Home News. As a public service, she hosted her own radio show, “It’s Your Money”, on WALE in Rhode Island, serving the Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts areas.
