What does the Pension pay for?
Monthly medical expenses that can be covered by the Veterans' Pension (or Veterans' Widow Pension) include:
- Assisted living fees
- Home health aides
- Prescriptions
- Doctor co-payments
- Dental expenses
- Insurance premiums
- Eyeglasses, hearing aids and anything else medically related

How much will the VA Benefit provide?
For 2007, the annual benefit can be up to $21,615 for a couple, $18,234 for a Veteran and $11,715 for a widow(er).

Do I qualify for the Veterans' Pension?
The military qualifications for this benefit are:
- Must not have a dishonorable discharge
- Must have served 90 days on active duty and at least one day must have been during a period of war
- Must be disabled or over age 65
In addition to the military qualifications, there are income and asset qualifications. However, these need to be evaluated for each individual situation. It is important to meet with a trained professional before applying for the benefit. That is where BLS Advisors comes in.
